Summary

The renamed-notice shortcode and canonical front matter support that were added as local layout overrides in this repo (#2287, #2300) have been ported upstream into the theme as the source of truth:

nginxinc/nginx-hugo-theme#500

This PR removes the now-redundant local overrides and bumps the theme dependency to the version that includes them.

Changes

  • Bump github.com/nginxinc/nginx-hugo-theme/v2 to v2.1.6 in go.mod
  • Remove local overrides, now provided by the theme:
    • layouts/partials/meta.html
    • layouts/_default/list.html
    • layouts/shortcodes/renamed-notice.html

Testing

Verified locally that after removing these overrides and bumping to v2.1.6, the renamed-notice banner and canonical <link> tags render identically to before on content/nginxaas/google/* pages.

renamed-notice shortcode and canonical front matter support have been
ported upstream into the theme (nginxinc/nginx-hugo-theme#500), so the
local layout overrides in this repo are no longer needed.

Removes:
- layouts/partials/meta.html
- layouts/_default/list.html
- layouts/shortcodes/renamed-notice.html
