Welcome to the TBTracker-ESP32 wiki!
The purpose of this Wiki is to give step by step instructions on what hardware to use, how to wire it, how to configure the software and how to upload it to the tracker. As well as showing what is needed for a balloon launch and how it can be done relatively cheaply.
With the TBTracker-ESP32 software you can turn an ESP32 board together with some additional hardware into a high altitude balloon tracker.
These trackers send their position, height, optional sensor data and even pictures over the air to on the ground receiving stations either run by yourself or other amateur balloon hobbyists.
This data is then uploaded to the Sondehub website where the balloon and its telemetry is viewed on a map.
This repository is a fork of the original tracker where I'm working on a few ideas of my own.
Be aware that if you download the TBTracker-ESP32 firmware from this repository it might be a bit different from the original.
For information about the changes I made please check Wiki chapter 10.
This Wiki is a work in progress and I hope to add more info soon.
